The Global Village at Lions Gate - Interest Form

Curious about other cultures and traditions? Want to learn how to connect with others whose language and customs differ from yours?

The Global Village at Lions Gate is a Living Learning Community for both international and domestic students who reside in Lions Gate Apartments at Penn State Abington. Students living in this community will engage with peers from different countries in a variety of ways, including international and domestic roommate pairing, Resident Assistant and Professional Staff guided programming, and community explorations. This Living Learning Community is geared toward students who want to learn more about their own culture, who they are as members of a diverse community and how they relate to others from various cultures and backgrounds.

Requirements for the Global Village at Lions Gate:

- Must be enrolled as a full-time student at Penn State Abington (12 credits minimum per semester).
- Must attend at least four residential life programs/community builders, including a Penn State diversity workshop, per semester.
- Must be committed to exploring different cultures and meeting peers from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
- Must be open to new experiences and respect/honor differences.

About This Form:

Before submitting your request to join the Global Village at Lions Gate, you must have accepted a Housing Contract at Lions Gate Apartments. Once you submit the Global Village Interest Form, the Office of Residence Life and the Office of Housing and Food Services will process your room assignment request. By submitting this form, you agree to be assigned to the Global Village at Lions Gate Apartments. Students will be able to view housing assignments at eliving.psu.edu in mid-July.

You may request a roommate through eLiving. To be placed in the same room, both roommates must be accepted into the Global Village. Please note: Roommate requests are not guaranteed and are subject to approval by the offices of Residence Life and Housing and Food Services.
