University Housing Closes for Spring Break 2023

IT'S ALMOST SPRING BREAK!

University Housing will CLOSE for Spring Break at 12:00 p.m. ET (noon) on Saturday, March 4.

Late stays past the closing time of 12:00 p.m. ET (noon) on Saturday, March 4, are NOT permitted - all students must leave University Housing before 12:00 p.m. ET (noon) closing. If you cannot leave campus by 12:00 p.m. ET (noon) on Saturday, you will need to make alternative arrangements until you can leave. 

Students who do not have a Break Access/Holiday Housing HFS Contract are expected to vacate the buildings (you may leave your belongings in your room).

Please make your travel plans to and from State College with these dates in mind: 

• University housing CLOSES at 12:00 p.m. ET (noon) on Saturday, March 4
• University housing OPENS at 10:00 a.m. ET on Sunday, March 12

Early arrivals before 10:00 a.m. ET on Sunday, March 12, is not permitted - building access will not operate until 10:00 a.m. Students who arrive on campus on Saturday must make alternative arrangements until University Housing opens.

NEED TO STAY ON CAMPUS FOR SPRING BREAK?

Only certain buildings remain open during the break periods when University Housing closes. If you need to stay on campus during spring break, please reach out to the Housing Assignment Office to discuss housing options. Students who are currently assigned to a non-break access building will have to permently move for the remainder of the academic year. The cost is $510 for the spring semester.
