LiveOn Student Success Grant

The LiveOn Student Success Grant is a unique student financial aid funding opportunity supported by Penn State Housing and Food Services (HFS) to assure student undergraduate academic success, persistence to undergraduate degree completion, and address potential housing and food insecurities throughout a student’s four-year academic career.

Awarding of grants are to need-based students identified based upon information provided to Penn State’s Office of Student Aid via the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) studentaid.gov and Penn State Undergraduate Admissions Application admissions.psu.edu/apply/app. There is no additional financial aid application for the grant.

The LiveOn Student Success Grant is provided at twelve (12) Penn State Campuses: Abington, Altoona, Beaver, Behrend, Berks, Brandywine, Greater Allegheny, Harrisburg, Hazleton, Mont Alto, Schuylkill, and University Park. Recipients are required to reside in Penn State-managed housing and designated room type each of the four academic years; and meet and maintain full-time enrollment, financial aid, credit completion, and academic performance eligibility criteria in order to retain the award.

The LiveOn Student Success Grant can be combined with additional financial aid – federal, state, and/or institutional grants and scholarships, as well as student direct loans. The grant is communicated to recipients and appears on a student’s financial aid summary and University bill, which are viewable via LionPath lionpath.psu.edu

SAVINGS!

LiveOn Student Success Grant for eight (8) consecutive semesters equals approximately one year of savings for Penn State-managed campus housing and meal plan, approximately $12,000. For one academic year, the savings is approximately 25% or $3,000.

This is a significant reduction in the total cost of attending Penn State.

The semester and annual amounts are based upon room and board rates for the designated housing type and meal plan typically approved by the Penn State Board of Trustees each spring semester for the next academic year.
