Mail and Packages

All residential students can receive U.S. Postal mail and package deliveries from major delivery agents (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, Amazon) while living in University Housing.

Staff will receive and process mail and packages, sending an email and/or text to residents via eLiving when they're ready for pickup at Reed Union Building in Room 11A. Please wait until you receive this notification before picking up a letter or package; additional processing time is required once packages are dropped off from the shipper. Be prepared to show your id+ Card or mobile credential when picking up mail or packages.

Tips to ensure successful deliveries:

  • Mail and packages must be addressed to the student's legal or chosen name displayed at accounts.psu.edu.
  • The following items should never be mailed in an envelope: cash, check, gift cards, candy, room key, or liquids.
  • Prohibited items per the HFS Contract will not be released and will be returned to sender (for example, air conditioners, alcohol, escooters, etc.)

Items delivered from restaurants, retail or grocery stores, or third-party companies such as Instacart, GoPuff, DoorDash, etc., are NOT accepted as mail and students are responsible for meeting the driver to receive those deliveries.
