Martin Hall opened for occupancy in fall 2018. Martin, located in the northeastern quad of East Housing Area, is an updated version of a traditional residence hall providing students with modern amenities and conveniences, including air conditioning. Unlike traditional residence halls, though, Martin offers students private, single-user bathrooms that are shared by the floor. Similar to a home, each bathroom pod is privately used by one individual. Additional sinks are located near the bathrooms to provide quick, easy use. The ground floor of Martin features a living room, kitchen, laundry room, study space, knowledge stations, and a music practice room. The building is co-ed by room (each room is single gender, but may be next to a room of opposite gender). Student bedrooms feature flexible furniture, which allows the student to arrange the rooms in a number of different ways. Martin Hall is located in close proximity to the IM Building, Pegula Ice Arena, and the Arboretum.

Martin Hall is named after Edward Martin, the 32nd Governor of Pennsylvania, serving 1943-47. Martin then became a U.S. Senator, and had a distinguished military career through four wars, earning a Distinguished Service Cross and a Purple Heart. Martin was recognized for his outstanding work during the Johnstown (PA) Flood of 1936 by being promoted to Major General in command of Pennsylvania's 28th National Guard Division. Martin was from Waynesburg, PA.
