Where to Live
The East Halls renovation project continues with the final phase, involving Hastings, Snyder, and Stone Halls, currently under construction and expected to be completed by the end of the fiscal year 2024. Bigler, Curtin, and Packer Halls completed renovations earlier this year and came back online in time for the fall 2023 semester.
The renovated halls will receive new and efficient building systems, including climate-controlled living spaces, improved social and residence life programming and meeting spaces, community kitchens, laundry rooms, and shared semi-private bathrooms in the core of each floor.

Findlay/Johnston Commons Building
The Findlay/Johnston Commons Buildings are open 24 hours/day. Students can take advantage of the recreation room (featuring a pool table and piano), Cultural Lounge, study lounges, and open study space. The Association for Residence Hall Students (ARHS) has an office in Findlay, located near the Penn State IT Service Desk. A large computer lab is located in the basement of Findlay (accessible by stairwell closest to Stone Hall). An ATM is available on the main floor.
Housing Operations and Residence Life offices are located in 134 Johnston, and the Housing Assignment Office and administrative offices for Housing Operations and Residence Life are located on the second floor of Johnston.
The Findlay Commons Desk was recently renovated in time for the fall 2023 semester and is open 24 hours/day to serve all East Halls residents. Learn more about the services provided by the Commons Desk.
