Watts Hall

Watts Hall is named after Frederick Watts. Watts served as the founding President of the Board of Trustees of Penn State College (1855-1874) and played an integral role in establishing the college in Centre County and securing its federal and state land-grant designation.
Watts Hall, built in 1922 and renovated in 1996, is a classic traditional residence hall. The building features a living room, recreation/game room, and laundry room. Watts Hall offers coed housing and bedrooms feature fixed and flexible furniture that allows students to arrange furniture in a room a few different ways. Watts Hall is coed with male and female students assigned to sections of the floor and designated bathrooms for male and female students. Watts Hall is located in the West Housing area near the Nittany Lion Shrine, Pattee and Paterno Library, Recreation Building (REC Hall), Blue and White Golf Courses, and Hepper Fitness Center. The Waring Commons supports students living in West Halls.
