2024 Fall Break - University Housing Closedown

University Housing will CLOSE for Fall Break at 12:00 p.m. (noon) ET Saturday, November 23.

Late stays after 12:00 p.m. (noon) are NOT permitted - all students must leave University Housing prior to the closing time. If you are not able to leave campus by 12:00 p.m. (noon) Saturday, you will need to make alternative arrangements until you can leave.

Students who do not have a Break Access/Holiday Housing HFS Contract are expected to leave the buildings (personal items can remain in the room during the break).

Please make your travel plans to and from University Park with these dates in mind:

• University Housing closes at 12:00 p.m. (noon) ET Saturday, November 23

• University Housing opens at 4:00 p.m. ET Friday, November 29

Early arrivals before 4:00 p.m. ET Friday, November 29 are not permitted - student ID will NOT provide building access before 4:00 p.m. Friday. Students who arrive on campus prior to this time will need to make alternative arrangements until University Housing opens.

To assist in closedown, University Housing asks all students to fill out the 2024 Fall Break Departure Survey. 

Traffic Alert - Home Football Game November 30

Due to the Penn State football game versus Maryland scheduled on Saturday, November 30, students are encouraged to return on Friday night or Sunday to avoid game day traffic. Travel and parking impacts are expected before and after the football game, especially near East Halls. Specific information will be updated here closer to this date and shared directly with the students through email.
