Housing is conveniently located on campus and  your participants will be within walking distance of computer labs, classroom buildings, dining, and recreational facilities as they enjoy their #LiveOn experience. Our Conference Team will help guide you in navigating which available locations are best suited for your visitors.

Academic Program Meal Plan

Participants in an academic program receive an Academic Meal plan, similar to the Campus Meal Plan offered to Penn State students. The Academic Meal Plan is a declining account balance which offers flexibility and convenience; only purchases that the participant makes are deducted and there are no "lost" meal purchases. The Academic Meal Plan is comprised of two cost components, a base cost and dining dollars. The base cost covers all operational expenses and is paid up front; dining dollars are loaded onto the participant's account and used to make purchases at a discounted rate based on dining choices.

The amount of dining dollars loaded on to the participant's account is based on the length of each participant's stay. The amount is designed to cover breakfast, lunch, and dinner purchased at the all-you-care-to-eat dining commons locations. All dining dollars are loaded up front. The participant may use the Campus Meal Plan (Academic Meal Plan) at other food service operations, such as HUB Dining or the convenience store, but these purchases are not discounted and will utilize more dining dollars. Participants need to budget spending to ensure that they can purchase meals for the duration of their stay. If a participant runs out of dining dollars before the end of their program stay, additional funds may be added at the Commons Desk.

The Campus Meal Plan (Academic Meal Plan) cost for summer 2025 is $27.75 per day ($14.35 base cost and $13.40 dining dollars). The program will be charged the $27.75 per day fee, multiplied by the total number of days the participant is staying. For example, a participant who arrives on May 27 and departs August 5 will be on campus for 71 days. The program will pay $1,970.25 ($27.75 x 71), and the participant will receive $951.40 ($13.40 x 71) $951.40 dining dollars on their conference card.

  • Lunch: $4.60
