LiveOn Housing Process

The LiveOn Housing Process is for current Penn State students (this includes first-year students who are currently living on campus) who are interested in living on campus for the next academic year. The LiveOn Housing Process is managed through the eLiving system. There is a different process for incoming first-year students.

Webinar Session Descriptions

Session Descriptions:

  1. LiveOn Housing Options: information about on-campus housing options, such as Nittany Apartments, Eastview Terrace, etc. This session will assist students to determine how to order their preference for housing options.

  2. LiveOn Housing Process: detailed information about how the eLiving system is setup for the housing process, going through each step: how students Request Housing, what their invitation looks like, how housing options are displayed, how to select a housing option, and then create/accept a Housing and Food Service (HFS) Contract 

  3. Housing Information Sessions: in-person information sessions held during Parents and Family Weekend. Co-hosted by Off-Campus Student Support and the Housing Assignment Office, this session will provide decision factors and an overview of the process for living on campus or off campus

  4. Sorority Housing: students interested in the Panhellenic primary recruitment process in spring should attend this session to learn about sorority chapter housing available on campus

  5. Housing Fair: this free event is a great resource for students to explore whether to live on or off campus, with representatives from the Housing Assignment Office for on-campus housing, and landlords and property managers about off-campus housing

  6. Housing Fair (virtual): a free, online event that offers virtual booths which allows you to ask specific questions to a landlord or property manager

  7. Living Learning Communities (LLCs): students who are currently a part of an LLC and wish to return to the living environment should attend this session to understand the LLC housing process, which is separate from the general LiveOn Housing process

  8. Change of Campus Students: students who are currently attending a Commonwealth Campus and will be changing to University Park for the academic year should attend this session to learn about on-campus housing options and an overview of the LiveOn Housing process

  9. On-Campus Housing Waitlist: students currently living off campus at University Park or those who did not participate in the LiveOn Housing Process can be considered for on-campus housing through the Waitlist feature
