2024 Spring Semester Housing Eligibility

Students who plan to LiveOn at University Park for the 2024 spring semester need to maintain their eligibility.

As indicated in the Terms, Conditions, and Regulations of the Housing and Food Service (HFS) Contract, students must either be registered for University Park classes or scheduled to attend New Student Orientation (NSO) to be eligible to live in University Housing.

Students enrolled at University Park for the 2023 fall semester must have 2024 spring semester classes scheduled in LionPATH by 12:00 p.m. (noon) Friday December 15 to retain eligibility to return in the spring semester.

Students Returning to University Park for spring semester

  • Schedule spring semester University Park classes in LionPATH
  • Course registration must be completed by 12:00 p.m. (noon) Friday December 15
  • Students who currently do not have spring semester classes will not be able to utilize the Open Room Change process
  • Students who have not scheduled spring semester classes by the deadline will be required to remove all personal belongings and check-out of their room assignment before University Housing closes for winter break at 4:00 p.m. Saturday December 16
  • The student's spring room assignment will be changed to "Space Reserved" and HFS Contract will remain active until their status is confirmed after the spring semester course drop/add date
  • The student's room may be assigned to another student
  • If a student schedules classes after December 15, a room assignment will be processed to any available vacancy
  • Failure to schedule classes will not release the student from the HFS Contract obligation. A student will not be able to live off campus for spring semester if University Park classes are scheduled, they will be responsible for room and board charges

Students NOT Returning to University Park for spring semester

Students who will not be at University Park for the spring semester (including internship, graduation, co-ops, leave of absence, withdrawal) should take action now to avoid room and board charges on the January billing statement: Submit a Request Contract Cancellation request through eLiving. Once the student's status is verified through LionPATH, the HFS Contract will be cancelled. Students will need to follow the Move Out Instructions.

Review the University Registrar's Office guidelines for Leaving the University.
