Summer Students: fall roommate request
First-year students currenting living on-campus for Summer Session II have a limited opportunity to request a new roommate for fall semester! Eligible students will receive an email (sent to their Penn State access account) that will include the link to the form for submitting requests. The form will be available 12:00 p.m. noon Wednesday June 29 - 12:00 p.m. (noon) Tuesday July 5. The Housing Assignment Office will not process any requests received via email/phone call, and requests cannot be submitted after the deadline.
Here's what you need to know:

Both students must be attending Summer Session II and living on campus

Both students must submit a request and indicate each other. If the request is not mutual, no changes to the students' room assignments will be processed.

Any preferences originally indicated on the HFS Contract for fall semester, such as roommate, housing area, room type, will no longer be considered.

Your room assignment will be in any housing area, wherever a vacant space is available when your request is processed.

It may be possible that your request may not be honored, especially if there is more requests submitted than space available to process room assignments.

Students may also utilize the Room Exchange eBoard. The eBoard will be available between 12:00 p.m. (noon) Tuesday July 19 through 12:00 p.m. (noon) Tuesday August 9.

Both roommates must submit the request by the deadline, and the request MUST be mutual (both students must request each other). If the request is not mutual, you will be assigned based on your preferences listed on your fall semester HFS Contract, provided that space is available when your account is processed.
